AGA Continues to Support the CEE Integrated Home Competition – Now Launched for 2022
The American Gas Association (AGA) joined as a formal sponsor of the 2021-2023 Integrated Home Competition in conjunction with the Consortium for Energy Efficiency’s (CEE).
The Integrated Home Competition presents a new and unique recognition of premier connected devices entering the market. The competition supports market adoption of connected devices in the home that not only provides energy savings and load management, but also meets consumers’ expectations in terms of interoperability, reliability, and simplicity. Through supporting a positive consumer experience, the competition cultivates positive associations with connected devices and increases market demand.
An Integrated Home is a connected, fuel neutral, interactive, and efficient home where devices and systems effectively communicate to provide new customer, utility system, and societal value. The Integrated Home Competition supports this vision through public promotion of commercially available solutions that are simple, reliable, well-designed, and highly functional. The competition provides a platform for distinguishing innovation in service to Integrated Demand Side Management Objectives including traditional energy savings.
As the natural gas industry continues to embrace innovation, AGA supports this competition bringing fuel neutral, interactive, and efficient integrated home innovations to the forefront of the market. This competition showcases and enhances the natural gas industry’s development of advanced technologies for integrated demand-side management and efficiency improvements.
The competition is organized by the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), the American Lighting Association (ALA), the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE), and UL; it is sponsored by over thirty energy efficiency utilities, trade associations, and research entities across the United States and Canada.
