More Than a Number

For Avangrid subsidiaries, safety is no accident

It’s a noteworthy display of dedication to workplace safety: Berkshire Gas Company, Connecticut Natural Gas and Southern Connecticut Gas—all subsidiaries of Avangrid, Inc.—have surpassed 338,000 consecutive work hours without a Lost Time Accident. Representing more than 13 years of incident-free operations, this achievement sets a record for the companies and underscores their commitment to safety as a core value.

It’s a milestone that continues to grow. Since May 2010, across all operations, no incident that injured or harmed personnel to the extent that time off or a loss of productive work has occurred.

“Safety is not just a priority–it’s part of our DNA,” said a spokesperson for Avangrid. “This record-breaking achievement is a testament to the dedication and vigilance of our employees, who have embraced our safety-first mindset in every aspect of their work.”
