Dan Lapato is the Vice President of Planning at the American Gas Association (AGA). In this role, Dan serves as a central point of communication, coordination, and management of key division programs, projects, and goals. He is a strategic member of AGA’s Leadership Team, tasked with creating and streamlining processes, managing special projects, and ensuring effective communication within the organization and with AGA members, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
Before becoming AGA’s Vice President of Planning, he led AGA’s State Affairs team responsible for maintaining relationships with governor, legislative, regulatory and local government officials.
Prior to joining AGA, Dan spent over five years representing natural gas utilities’ interests before Congress and federal agencies. He started his career working for the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection where he held various environmental and energy policy positions.
Dan has a Bachelor of Science from West Virginia University. Dan lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania with his wife, Monica and their son, Frankie.
