Terri Oliva is Chief Financial Officer of the American Gas Association. Oliva previously served as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI). Oliva joined EEI in 2009 and oversaw EEI’s internal human resources department and facility operations. She also led EEI’s external engagement with member company chief human resources officers; industry DEI initiatives; and the supplier diversity program. She was also EEI’s Assistant Treasurer, Chief Administrative Officer of the Center for Energy Workforce Development, the Treasurer of the National Labor and Management Public Affairs Committee, and Assistant Treasurer of EEI’s Political Action Committee.
Oliva began her career with KPMG as an auditor, serving clients in the financial services and notfor-profit industries. She also held accounting, compensation, and benefit positions at Johnson & Johnson, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae prior to joining EEI. Oliva is a licensed CPA in the state of Virginia and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Virginia Society of CPAs, the Women’s Council on Energy and Environment, and the American Society of Association Executives. Oliva holds a B.S. in Business Administration from James Madison University. She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband John and their two children.
