AGA joins joint-industry petition to PHMSA requesting stay of enforcement for Standards I Final Rule

A joint request for a stay of enforcement on the Standards I Final Rule was submitted to PHMSA by AGA, APGA, AFPM, API, LEPA, and INGAA.

The stay of enforcement would allow time necessary for PHMSA to consider and respond to the previously-submitted petition requesting consistency on ASME B31.8S editions incorporated by reference, as well as a 1/1/2025 enforcement date.

AGA files joint comments on NTSB ANPRM on Incident Investigation Authority

AGA signed on to cross-industry comments filed to NTSB’s Advanced Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPRM) seeking input on incident investigation authority as it relates to the definition of “substantial property damage” and “significant injury to the environment.”

The Associations recommended that the NTSB:
(1) should not unnecessarily limit its authority by adopting specific definitions or thresholds for these terms.
(2) avoid unintended impacts, including overburdening its resources and impacting PHMSA’s ability to investigate.
