Prices in this section, unless cited as a source other than AGA, were developed using the following methodology. Total revenues for a specific segment and time period are divided by the corresponding total sales for that specific segment and time period. For example, the 2018 average residential price for the state of New York was obtained by dividing total 2018 residential revenues in New York by total 2018 residential sales in New York. Likewise, the 2018 average residential price for the United States was obtained by dividing total 2018 residential revenues in the United States by total 2018 residential sales in the United States.
